Some moments are bigger than hockey. ā¤ļø 26-year-old Michael DiPietro earned his first NHL shutout last night in Boston, on Hockey Fights Cancer Night. A moment that meant even more for a guy who lost his mother to cancer when he was just five years old. At 22, DiPietro considered walking away from hockey altogether. But his family never stopped believing in him, and he never stopped working. Fast forward a few years, he's an AHL MVP and Goaltender of the Year, and now he's living out his NHL dream. You could see how much it meant to him and every one of his teammates. An incredible reminder to the next generation: keep working, believe in yourself, and don't give up on your dreams. The puck don't lie. šā¤ļø Go Bruins. Go Mikey. BE A BEAUTY.
