Bobby Green KO's Krazy Horse Bennett

Bobby Green’s finish of Charles “Krazy Horse” Bennett is a great example of how layered offense can force reactions before the knockout ever arrives. Green opens by giving Bennett a feint, and Bennett immediately reacts to it. Green doesn’t throw behind the feint—the reaction itself is what he’s looking for. A moment later, he changes levels, drives through Bennett and forces him back to the cage. From there, Green gets underneath his hips, lifts Bennett completely off the ground and violently returns him to the canvas. Green immediately takes mount and starts dropping heavy punches. Several get through, but Bennett stays active underneath him, constantly bucking his hips and disrupting Green’s balance instead of simply covering up. That movement eventually creates enough space for Bennett to reverse the position, and suddenly Krazy Horse is on Green’s back. Green never panics. He fires elbows while Bennett tries to secure control, then attacks the grip, breaks Bennett’s hands apart and works his way free. Both men get back to their feet and square up again—but Green doesn’t give Bennett much time to recover. On the reset, Green steps into a left hook followed by a right cross, then comes back with another right hand. The combination lands clean and sends Bennett crashing to the canvas. Green follows him down, lands one more shot, and the referee immediately steps between them. What makes the finish impressive is everything that came before it. Green made Bennett react to feints, defend the takedown, survive mount, scramble through a reversal and then immediately solve another problem once they returned to their feet. The knockout was the final shot. The pressure and control created it.
