Jaxson Dart walks to the locker room after injury

I don’t blame bro for this New York Giants second-year quarterback Jaxson Dart suffered an apparent left knee injury early in the first quarter of tonight’s Monday Night Football game against the Los Angeles Rams. On a third-and-8 play during the team’s opening drive, Dart was sandwiched in the pocket by Rams defenders Byron Young and Josaiah Stewart. The high-low collision undercut Dart’s legs and caused his knee to bend awkwardly, leaving him clutching his leg in clear distress on the turf. After being evaluated by trainers on the field, he was able to walk off under his own power with a noticeable limp. Dart was initially taken to the sideline medical tent before slowly walking back to the locker room for further evaluation. Although a cart was waiting for him, he opted to walk on his own, and early reports indicated he did not immediately go to the X-ray room, providing a small glimmer of optimism. The Giants have officially designated Dart as questionable to return, and veteran backup Jameis Winston has taken over under center to lead the offense.
