Jaxson Dart takes a big hit in preseason game against Minnesota and returns to throw a TD

Jaxson Dart is heading into Year 2 with some serious expectations after giving Giants fans plenty to be excited about as a rookie. He finished his first NFL season with 2,272 passing yards, 15 passing touchdowns and only five interceptions, while adding 487 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground. He even finished as a finalist for Offensive Rookie of the Year. Now the Giants are putting even more on Dart’s shoulders under new head coach John Harbaugh. We already saw the toughness and playmaking ability again in today’s preseason action against Minnesota, when Dart took a huge hit, went into the medical tent, and then returned to throw a touchdown to Malachi Fields. The biggest question isn’t whether Dart has talent anymore. It’s how big of a jump he can make in his second season while learning a new offense and trying to turn the Giants around. If Year 2 Jaxson Dart takes another step forward, New York might finally have its franchise quarterback.
