Yankees fan is ready for playoff baseball vs Red Sox

Tonight, the Yankees and Red Sox meet in Game 1 of the Wild Card Series in the Bronx, and as a lifelong Yankees fan, I’m ready for playoff baseball. I grew up hearing about Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Mickey Mantle, and the teams that built this franchise. I got to watch Derek Jeter lead the Yankees and Mariano Rivera close out games with that cutter everyone knew was coming but still couldn’t hit. Yankees–Red Sox is one of the best rivalries in sports. No matter what the standings say, these games always feel bigger. To every Yankees fan across the Hudson Valley: wear your pinstripes, make some noise, and let’s go Yankees!
