Stone Cold Steve Austin's iconic return at Backlash 2000

There are loud crowd reactions… And then there’s Stone Cold Steve Austin at Backlash 2000. Just when it looked like The Rock was completely outmatched against Triple H, the glass shattered. And the entire arena ERUPTED. Fans were already on their feet before Austin even reached the ring. Then came the chaos — chair shots, punches, destruction, and one of the loudest reactions of the Attitude Era. The louder Austin fought, the louder the crowd became. More than two decades later, that moment remains one of WWE’s most iconic crowd reactions and a perfect reminder of just how massive Stone Cold Steve Austin’s connection with the fans was. Some returns get cheers. This one sounded like the entire building was coming down.
