Santino Marella made one of the most unforgettable debuts in WWE history. On Raw in Milan, Italy, Mr. McMahon selected a “fan” from the crowd to face the dominant Intercontinental Champion Umaga. Against all odds, Santino shocked the WWE Universe by defeating Umaga and winning the Intercontinental Championship in his very first WWE match. The moment became known as “The Milan Miracle” and instantly turned Santino into one of WWE’s most memorable characters.
