Alex Eala was just points away from finally defeating close friend Iva Jovic. The Filipina star led 4-2 in the deciding set and had opportunities to extend her advantage, but Jovic staged a late comeback to win five of the final six games and seal the victory at Arthur Ashe Stadium.
