Jon Jones' UFC Legacy: The Greatest of All Time?
67 views21 Oct 2026
Jon Jones is one of the most accomplished fighters in UFC history, a two-division champion whose dominance and fight IQ helped redefine MMA greatness.
Known as Bones, Jones became the youngest UFC champion at just 23 and recorded eight successful light heavyweight title defenses in his first reign, breaking Tito Ortiz
After ruling light heavyweight, Jones moved up to heavyweight and submitted Ciryl Gane at UFC 285 to capture the vacant championship. He then stopped Stipe Miocic at UFC 309, adding another legendary name to his resume.
His career also includes unforgettable rivalries with Daniel Cormier and Alexander Gustafsson. Yet his legacy remains complicated by controversies outside the octagon and his retirement announcement in June 2025. Jones has since hinted at a possible comeback, but no return fight is confirmed.
