Ștefan Iulius Gavril is a Romanian distance runner excelling in events from 800m to the half marathon. A former national record holder in the 5K and 10K road races, Gavril represents Nice Côte d'Azur Athletisme. Initially pursuing kickboxing, winning the 2011 BestFighter World Cup, he transitioned to running in 2013. After debuting in Turin, he relocated to Umeå, Sweden, to train consistently while studying Political Science and International Relations at Umeå University. A former IFK Umeå athlete, Gavril continues to inspire with his dedication to the sport, showcasing his journey from martial arts to distance running excellence.
