Jim Marshall's Legendary Wrong-Way Safety in 1964

Flashback to 1964, Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jim Marshall etched his name into NFL lore with one of the most famous blunders in football history. After scooping up a fumble by San Francisco 49ers 49ers halfback Billy Kilmer, Marshall took off like a runaway freight train The shocking mistake handed two points to the Niners, but Marshall's legendary career was far more than a single misstep: the hall-of-fame-worthy defensive powerhouse played in 282 consecutive games and actually helped seal a 27-22 Vikings win that very same afternoon.
