Blue Mountain State: A ridiculous portrayal of college football

Blue Mountain State (2010 –2011) gave us one of the most ridiculous portrayals of college football ever put on television. Starring Darin Brooks as Alex Moran and Alan Ritchson as Thad Castle, the series followed a fictional college football program where partying, locker-room chaos and outrageous teammates often took priority over the actual sport. Despite running for only three seasons from 2010 to 2011, the show developed a cult following and eventually returned with the 2016 film Blue Mountain State: The Rise of Thadland.
