Raquel “Rocky” Pennington is a Mixed Martial Artist who started her journey at the age of 19. She was born and raised in Colorado Springs, CO. She has been an athlete since the age of 5, accomplishing many things. 2010 is when she began her mma journey. She had an amateur career of 7-1, winning 5 titles. She turned pro in 2012, becoming the first female to compete for a professional title in Hawaii and became the Hawaiian Islands Champion. Raquel was among the first handful of women to ever sign with Invicta Fighting Championships. She then tried out for the first ever female “Ultimate Fighter” season 18. She won fight of the season and then went on to lock in her UFC contract. Raquel has been with the UFC since 2013. She fought for the world title in 2018, and is currently ranked #2 in the Womens Bantamweight division. She currently holds the record for the most appearances in the bantamweight division and is 2nd with the most wins. After 14 years of hard-work, Pennington finally achieved the ultimate goal and became the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion of the world. Making her the 6th ever champion in the divisions history
