The Rams defense struggled to contain Josh Allen and the Bills on Monday Night Football, allowing 37 points and 234 rushing yards in a 37–34 overtime loss. Allen finished with 121 yards and a touchdown on the ground, repeatedly extending drives with his legs and making Los Angeles pay when he escaped the pocket. Despite those struggles, the defense gave the Rams a chance to win by forcing a James Cook fumble on Buffalo’s opening possession of overtime. Los Angeles couldn’t capitalize after its potential game-winning field goal was blocked, and Allen followed with consecutive scrambles that set up Buffalo’s winning kick. Matthew Stafford and the Rams offense did enough to keep the game competitive, but Los Angeles couldn’t get the final stop it needed. It was a frustrating finish for a defense that made a crucial play in overtime but ultimately had no answer for Buffalo’s rushing attack.
