Josh Jacobs returning to the Packers locker room after beating the charges
6 views17 Oct 2026
Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs is set to be removed from the NFL Commissioner’s Exempt List on October 19, 2026, making him eligible to return to action for the Packers’ Week 7 matchup against the Detroit Lions on October 25. Jacobs was placed on the list on August 30 following his arrest in Wisconsin in May and subsequently pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges of battery and criminal damage to property in September. His placement on the list forced him to miss Green Bay’s first five games of the season, limiting the team’s options in the running game. Although his removal clears the way for him to resume playing, the NFL’s investigation into a potential violation of its personal conduct policy remains ongoing, meaning further disciplinary action, including a possible suspension, is still possible. Jacobs’ return could provide a significant boost to the Packers’ offense as they look to strengthen their rushing attack for the second half of the season
