Harrison Mevis's game-winning kick blocked in overtime

Harrison Mevis, famously known as the ‘Thiccer Kicker,’ has built a reputation as one of football’s most recognizable kicking personalities. The former Missouri standout made a name for himself with his powerful leg and ability to deliver under pressure. During his college career, Mevis became Missouri’s all-time leading scorer and earned All-American recognition, proving that kickers can become genuine stars in their own right. His journey from college football to the NFL showed that he had the talent and confidence to compete at the highest level. Mevis made an immediate impression with the Los Angeles Rams during the 2025 season, converting 12 of 13 field-goal attempts and all 39 extra-point attempts. He also delivered when it mattered most, connecting on the game-winning field goal against the Chicago Bears in the 2025 postseason to help the Rams advance. His powerful leg and memorable nickname have made him a standout personality, while his early NFL success gave fans plenty of reasons to believe in his potential. In football, quarterbacks and receivers often get the spotlight, but Harrison Mevis has shown that a kicker can create unforgettable moments too.
