Dak Prescott threw for 316 yards and two interceptions in a 24-16 Thursday night loss to the previously winless Buccaneers. Prescott was booed at AT&T Stadium as the Cowboys fell behind 24-10 entering the fourth quarter and dropped to 2-3. The Dallas quarterback out of Mississippi State was a fourth-round pick in 2016 who won Offensive Rookie of the Year, and he has made four Pro Bowls. In 2025 he led the league in completions and threw for 4,552 yards and 30 touchdowns, and in 2024 he signed a four-year, $240 million extension that made him the highest-paid player in the NFL at the time. He went 24-of-42 on Thursday with one touchdown, but a late pass bounced off tight end Jake Ferguson and was intercepted. Prescott is one of the most scrutinized quarterbacks in football, and nights like this keep the debate around him and the Cowboys going.
