Natan Schulte's methodical finish: chain wrestling and positional control against Jeremy Stephens
0 views28 Aug 2026
Jeremy Stephens was finding his range and landing the jab, but Natan Schulte was reading the rhythm behind it. When Stephens committed to the right hand, Schulte changed levels underneath the punch. What initially looked like a double-leg entry quickly became a standing body lock, allowing Schulte to turn Stephens and put him on the canvas.
Stephens worked toward the cage and began building back to his feet, but Schulte stayed connected and immediately returned him to the mat. From there, the two-time PFL champion advanced to full mount and used heavy chest pressure to force Stephens’ left arm across his own neck. Once the head-and-arm position was secured, Schulte tightened the arm-triangle choke and left Stephens with no space to defend, forcing the tap.
It was a complete display of chain wrestling and positional control—timing the strike, adapting the takedown, denying the escape and methodically building toward the finish.
