Conor Benn vs. Samuel Vargas: First Round Blitz

This clip captures the explosive moment in April 2021 when Conor Benn absolutely overwhelmed the veteran Samuel Vargas. Within the opening minute of Round 1, Benn unleashes a relentless, high-speed barrage of hooks and uppercuts against the ropes, forcing the referee to step in and stop the fight in just 80 seconds. Why It's Loved: Fans adore this sequence because it showcases "The Destroyer's" terrifying hand speed and killer instinct. It wasn't just a win; it was a statement performance that proved Benn possessed the power and aggression to be a serious contender in the welterweight division. My Opinion: The sheer volume of punches is incredible. While some debated if the stoppage was slightly early, the intensity Benn brought from the opening bell made an eventual knockout feel inevitable. It remains one of the most clinical "blitz" finishes in recent British boxing history.
