Known for his crisp Muay Thai technique, devastating knockout power, and laid-back personality, Prates rapidly established himself as one of the most feared and fan-favorite strikers in the weight class. Fighting out of the famed Fighting Nerds team, he boasts a long, rangy physique that he uses to systematically pick apart opponents with lethal knees, precise long-range punches, and sharp leg kicks. Following a sensational run of highlight-reel finishes over top contenders—most recently securing a statement third-round TKO against Jack Della Maddalena at UFC Perth—Prates has solidified his standing right at the top of the division's title picture. Looking ahead, Prates is set to square off against undefeated Ecuadorian standout Michael Morales for the interim UFC Welterweight Championship at UFC 336 on January 30, 2027, in Toronto.
