Canelo's lethal weapon didn't work on Bivol

Canelo Alvarez has a notorious habit of battering his opponents' arms to force them to drop their guard. In this fight, his corner explicitly told him to "finish him here first," prompting Canelo to unleash his heavy shots directly into Dmitry Bivol's lead arm. It was supposed to be the beginning of the end.But Bivol is just built differently. Instead of crumbling under the pressure, he absorbed the blows and kept his defense perfectly intact. He even showed off his arm with a massive smile completely unbothered by the sheer force he just took. You have to be made of iron to eat punches from one of the hardest hitters in boxing and casually shrug it off. Like the clip perfectly points out Canelo's lethal weapon simply didn't work on Bivol Walking away from that kind of targeteo punishment with a smirk and a "good try" is exactly why this fight was a defensive masterclass.
