3 views29 Oct 2026
The Milwaukee Brewers missed a historic chance to sweep their first World Series title, suffering a devastating 4-3 loss in 12 innings against the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 4. After a clutch, go-ahead solo home run by rookie Cooper Pratt put Milwaukee ahead 3-2 in the top of the 12th inning, the Brewers collapsed just three outs away from a championship celebration. A critical throwing error by third baseman Joey Ortiz opened the floodgates, allowing the Rays to string together consecutive singles off reliever Shane Drohan. Jonny DeLuca tied the game before pinch-hitter Ben Williamson delivered a stunning, walk-off RBI single, making the Brewers the first team in World Series history to lose a championship-clinching game while failing to record a single out when positioned just three outs away from the title.
