Mercedes White is a 45-year-old retired MMA fighter, Combat Jiu-Jitsu veteran, and lifelong advocate for combat sports and athlete development. A 10th Planet Black Belt under Eddie Bravo and Anthony Birchak, Mercedes has made a powerful impact on the mat and in leadership roles across the grappling and MMA world.

She is the USA Wrestling Head Coach at Torotech Wrestling Club and has served as the Head Women’s Wrestling Coach at Cienega High School for the past two years. Mercedes also leads as the Women’s Coach for the University of Arizona Wrestling Club, helping elevate the next generation of female wrestlers in Arizona.

As the co-owner of Torotech x 10th Planet Tucson and owner of Bullpen Submission Series, she’s created spaces for high-level competition, training, and community for athletes of all ages. Her competitive résumé includes appearances on Submission Underground and Combat Jiu-Jitsu events, showcasing her relentless grappling game.

Before coaching full-time, Mercedes was the founder and lead agent at Luta Elite MMA, managing top-tier athletes like Anthony Birchak, Deon Clash, Tracy Cortez, and Cortney Casey—helping them navigate professional careers in organizations like the UFC.

Whether on the mats, in the corner, or building platforms for others, Mercedes continues to shape the culture of combat sports through her deep experience, tough love, and vision for the future.
