Larry Johnson, nicknamed "Grandmama", is a former NBA power forward best known for his high-scoring and charismatic play with the Charlotte Hornets and New York Knicks. A two‑time NBA All-Star and 1992 Rookie of the Year, he helped UNLV win the 1990 NCAA championship before the Hornets selected him first overall in the 1991 NBA draft.
