Hunter Staten is a Sports Management major with a passion for basketball. A skilled player with a great touch around the rim, he is determined to continue the tradition of quality post play at his school. In the 2020-21 season, he played in 18 games, averaging 5.1 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. He was named to the Lone Star Conference's Commissioner's Honor Roll and had several standout performances, including 12 points and eight rebounds in a loss at Angelo State, and a career-high 14 rebounds and five blocked shots in a win over Midwestern State. Prior to college, he was a standout player at Stillwater High School, where he averaged 18.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 3.5 blocked shots per game.
