Herbert Lang’s remarkable journey from humble beginnings in Brinkley, Arkansas, to international acclaim is a testament to his unwavering dedication and talent. Graduating from Centenary College of Louisiana in 1998, Lang’s prowess on the basketball court was evident as he led the Trans-America Athletic Conference in scoring and clinched victory in the National Association of Basketball Coaches Slam Dunk Contest on ESPN at the 1998 NCAA final four in San Antonio. This led to an invitation from the Globetrotters’ training camp in 1999, where he spent an illustrious 18 years as both player and coach, traversing nearly 100 countries and engaging with influential dignitaries worldwide.
