Tavon Austin's electric NFL career highlights

Tavon Austin was one of the most electric athletes to ever step onto a football field. The West Virginia star was a nightmare in space, combining ridiculous acceleration, elite change of direction and the ability to turn almost any touch into a potential touchdown. In his final college season, Austin became a true human highlight reel, piling up 1,932 receiving yards and 2,910 all-purpose yards while also making an impact as a returner. His explosiveness was so obvious that the St. Louis Rams selected him No. 8 overall in the 2013 NFL Draft. Austin spent nine seasons in the NFL with the Rams, Cowboys, Packers and Jaguars, finishing his career with 244 receptions for 2,239 yards and 16 receiving touchdowns, while adding 1,361 rushing yards and 10 rushing scores. He also returned three punts for touchdowns, including a 98-yard return as a rookie, showing exactly why defenses could never afford to lose track of him in the open field. He may not have produced the traditional superstar numbers many expected from a top-10 pick, but whenever the ball reached his hands, there was always a feeling that something special could happen.
