Florida State Football Fan Expresses Frustration After Loss

Florida State’s coaching staff continually emphasizes the word “response” when circumstances go poorly. The Seminoles’ offense was at the 2-yard line up by a score of 14-0 in the second quarter with a little over 9 minutes left. I didn’t mind the decision to go for it on fourth down and try to make it a 21-0 ball game. You could say that the squad should have kicked a field goal to make it 17-0 or went with another play call. That doesn’t matter. What is important is that the defense didn’t “response” to adversity after the moment occurred, where they allowed a 97-yard rushing touchdown to running back Isaac Brown on the next play. At a place like Florida State, you should not have to motivate yourself to respond, you should have to go do it and execute at a high level. Quite frankly, I’m pissed off to a point where you cannot defend this action anymore. It shows up time and time again where I am sick and tired of getting embarrassed on the road against the likes of Louisville, North Carolina State, Miami, and even Florida. We should never be a laughing stock as a program. This is a proud university that has had championship by the legendary Bobby Bowden and Jimbo Fisher. I will never be one to stop being supportive of the program. I love Florida State, but that was one of the more disappointing and frustrating losses that I have seen. I don’t care about the account and/or username, that will handle itself out for me and I have a plan in place for when/if the complete rehaul happens. I am a fan first and foremost, but this proud Florida State program cannot continue to hold this kind of standard. I will never be disrespectful to these coaches, players, support staff, recruits, or parents. You might not feel the same way as me, and that is okay, you are entitled to your opinion.
