During the Green Bay Packers' game against the Carolina Panthers, wide receiver Christian Watson suffered a frightening chest injury after landing hard on the football during a 53-yard catch. On the sideline, he struggled to catch his breath and began coughing up blood, prompting team doctors to send him to a local hospital via ambulance for an emergency CT scan. Amazingly, Watson kept his full uniform and pads on during the entire trip. Once the hospital scans revealed only a broken rib and cleared him of any dangerous internal bleeding, Watson immediately rode the exact same ambulance back to Lambeau Field, returning to the stadium less than an hour after he left. Fitted with a molded, protective pad over his ribs, he ran out of the tunnel to a roaring crowd, re-entered the game in the third quarter, and caught two more passes to help secure a 27-19 victory. He later joked that his dramatic ambulance exit and return felt like a professional wrestling entrance straight out of a WWE episode
