The Giants have been connected to two big names ahead of the NFL trade deadline: Jaguars WR Brian Thomas Jr. and Colts RB Jonathan Taylor. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports multiple league execs believe Jacksonville will seriously consider trading Brian Thomas Jr. now that his role has decreased, and Jordan Raanan noted BTJ is extremely close with Malik Nabers. Thomas put up 1,282 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns as a rookie in 2024. This season he has 9 catches for 105 yards through six games, with zero catches in each of the last two. If the Giants see a scheme problem and not a talent problem, he is a buy-low wide receiver who could reunite with Nabers and give the Giants WR room a real WR2. Per Jonathan Jones, the Giants and Vikings could be suitors for Jonathan Taylor if the Colts make him available. Taylor ran for 1,585 yards and 18 touchdowns last season and already has 492 rushing yards and 7 touchdowns in six games this year. He is the bell cow RB1 a John Harbaugh run-first offense is built for. The question is the price, and whether the Giants should spend premium draft capital on a running back. Would you rather the Giants trade for Brian Thomas Jr. or Jonathan Taylor?
