Fred Biletnikoff is a Hall of Fame wide receiver best known for his legendary career with the Oakland Raiders. A standout at Florida State University, he became the school’s first consensus All-American receiver before being selected in the 1965 AFL Draft. With the Raiders, Biletnikoff built a reputation for precise route running, sure hands, and clutch postseason performances, earning MVP honors in Super Bowl XI. Over 14 professional seasons, he accumulated more than 8,000 receiving yards and 76 touchdowns, becoming one of the most reliable receivers of his era. Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1988, he remains a lasting influence on the sport, with the annual Biletnikoff Award—given to college football’s top receiver—named in his honor.
