Dwight Jason Freeney is an American former professional football player and current Director of Player Development at Syracuse University. He enjoyed a 16-season career in the National Football League (NFL), primarily as a defensive end and linebacker, most notably with the Indianapolis Colts. Known for his explosive pass-rushing skills, agility, and relentless motor, Freeney became one of the most feared defenders in the league, earning multiple Pro Bowl selections and accolades. Today, he uses his experience and leadership to mentor student-athletes at Syracuse, guiding the next generation while remaining a respected figure in football circles and among NFL fans.
