Roberto Clemente's Lasting Legacy

Roberto Clemente made his Pittsburgh Pirates debut in 1955 and spent the next 18 seasons building a legacy that extended far beyond baseball. On the field, Clemente earned 12 Gold Glove Awards, four National League batting titles, and helped lead the Pirates to World Series championships in 1960 and 1971. Off the field, Clemente was a devoted humanitarian who used his platform to help others.
