Derrick White is an American professional basketball athlete who currently plays for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played three years of college basketball in Division II for the UCCS Mountain Lions before transferring to the Division I Colorado Buffaloes for his final season. White was selected 29th overall by the San Antonio Spurs in the 2017 NBA draft and later traded to the Celtics in February 2022. He is a combo guard who has excelled in the NBA, earning his spot on the All-Defensive Team. White left UCCS as the school's career leader in points and assists, showing he has the skill to compete at the highest level.
