Vince "Invincible" Papale

Vince Papale is a former wide receiver who played three seasons in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles in the late 1970s. Papale’s path to the NFL was unconventional. He was a high school teacher who joined the Philadelphia Bell of the World Football league. His performance led him to the Eagles and at the age of 30, he became the oldest rookie in the history of the NFL. His story inspired the 2006 film Invincible. Papale is represented by the NFL Alumni Association.
